Liverpool fans have been reacting on Twitter to the latest transfer update surrounding RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
This comes after Liverpool Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying news originally published by Sport1 via The Daily Mirror.
The news claims that “Werner’s release clause that can be triggered before the end of April is actually much lower than the £51m that has been widely speculated, with the clause only £25m + performance-based add-ons”.
How much would you say Werner is worth?
£10M - £30M
£30M - £60M
£60 - £100M
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were excited by this latest development.

Get this business done. What is Michael Edwards doing to differentiate our recruitment so dramatically? You get the impression that every other big signing that goes to another club, he’s has ruled them out or there’s a weakness that only he knows about. Top analyst #LFC #redmen

The German is having a great season in the Bundesliga club this year, having scored 27 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions for Leipzig (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been reported that Werner’s release clause is a lot lower than originally thought, this has got a lot of Liverpool fans excited and anxious for their club to snap the striker up soon.
Sign him today

If you look in the dictionary next to no brainer you’ll see a picture of Werner and £25m

Perhaps they’ve already done the deal. Hence all the talk from Werner drooling about playing under Jurgenmeister.

What do we think?
Werner is currently valued at £67.5 million according to Transfermarkt, but if Liverpool could sign the striker for considerably less than that figure, they would surely have a bargain on their hands based on his fantastic goalscoring record this season.
