Liverpool fans have been drooling on Twitter over footage of a goal scored by the Reds in last season’s Champion League campaign.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @Kloppholic shared a post on their page that included a video clip originally published by @LFC_Videos_ of Sadio Mane’s goal against Bayern Munich last year in the Reds’ 3-1 win at the Allianz Arena.
Will Liverpool win the Champions League again this year?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were happy to reminisce over this moment from last year’s campaign.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans reacting to the footage:
Anybody else noticed mane always trying to bury goals with his left foot when he’s right footed? Hard to find players as special as him. We are so lucky

Virgil already knew it was in right after the ball left his feet.

The footage shows Virgil van Dijk spraying a long-range pass up to the advancing Mane who then managed to worm his way past the Bayern defence as well as goalkeeper Manuel Neuer before beautifully placing the ball in the opposition goal. Now that this footage from last season has resurfaced on Twitter, this had opened the door for multiple Reds fans to drool over the goal once again.
One of my favourite goals full stop.

Literally one of the best goals ever scored in the history of the competition. Elite stuff

What do we think?
The goal scored by Mane consists of two fantastic elements, the pinpoint pass from Van Dijk and the movement from Mane to set himself up in a goal-scoring position. It comes as no surprise that this footage has caught the attention of Liverpool fans once again because it really is a great goal to watch.
