Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reportedly remains an admirer of German forward Timo Werner, but as it stands, the Reds have not engaged in any discussions with RB Leipzig regarding a potential transfer for the player, according to Melissa Reddy of the Independent.
The report goes on to say that the 23-year-old is of the ‘stylistic profile’ that the club’s recruitment team are interested in. However, there appear to be concerns regarding how Werner would adjust to not being an automatic starter.
So how have the Liverpool fans reacted to the latest update regarding the future of the striker?
Will Timo Werner start for Liverpool?
Yes
No
We will be without Mané, Salah, Keita for the ACOF. It’s not about blocking the pathway for youth. We have to be ready to go again. Jones & Elliot aren’t ready to start in the PL. we have to sign players that can come in and play at a high level. Lallana, Lovren also.

A little over 2 years ago we had the fab 4. Surely Timo would play up top with Bobby behind and the 2 lads either side. Worked at treat when Phil was there. Could it be tried I wonder? ?????

This is the type of profile and target I can see us going for. The likes of Sancho for £100+m is not our style. Also id like us to get Werner because he’s a proper goal scorer the type that can sniff out goals. Which is something we don’t have.

Bring him now

Should really be a no brainer imo. Lightening quick, skilful and scores goals. Looks a natural fit.

What do we think?
Despite the reported complications regarding any guarantees surrounding his playing time, it appears these Liverpool fans remain keen on the club signing Werner. The German international has scored an incredible 20 goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances so far this term, and therefore, you can understand why he has such a big reputation.
