Liverpool have announced that Tom Hill has signed his first professional contract with the club. The attacking midfielder is a product of the Anfield youth academy and is known for his ‘well-timed runs into the box’ (as per the club’s official website).
The 17-year-old has come a long way in the last six months, making his debut for the Under-18s and then taking to the field for the first team versus Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
Do Liverpool have the next Coutinho on their hands?
Yes
No
The fans have reacted positively to the news and one claimed he will go on to be better than one of their former stars.
One fan even suggested that the youngster is better than Philippe Coutinho, which is extremely exaggerated as the Brazilian managed to produce a respectable total of 54 goals and 45 assists during his time at Anfield.

What do we think?
In a week when the Anfield youngsters have been in the spotlight having successfully navigated their way through to the fifth round of the FA Cup, the supporters are bound to feel excited by the emergence of this next generation. Neil Critchley took charge of the side in Jurgen Klopp’s absence and the Reds will now face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the next round.
