Liverpool registered their 24th victory of the Premier League season so far after four second-half goals ensured they overcame a spirited Southampton side. Jurgen Klopp’s team have now won all but one of their fixtures in the top flight this season and remain unbeaten, meaning it’s now a case of when they will be crowned champions rather than if.
Joe Gomez started alongside Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the Reds’ defence at the weekend and another impressive display from the 22-year-old (7.32 rating from WhoScored) has earned him the plaudits of these supporters.
A number of the club’s supporters stated that they could not believe just how good the England international has turned out, whilst one was already calling for him to be worth £100m – high praise indeed.
Is Joe Gomez worth £100m in today's market?
Yes

I’m probably being super naive but I just don’t see anyone beating us in knockouts. Joe Gomez is so utterly sensational. He’s a top 5 CB in Europe on his best day, playing next to the best.

Good CBs are scarce these days.
People might call me biased but based on this fact alone , Liverpool are well in their right to think Joe Gomez is worth £100m— Ritz (@_Ritzy_0_1) February 2, 2020
Joe Gomez was fantastic today and has been putting in these performances on a regular basis for #LFC yet another bargain signing

What do we think?
Gomez has made 16 Premier League appearances for the Anfield club so far this season. Signed from Charlton Athletic for £4.4m back in 2015, the central defender now boasts a value of £31.5m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk – another excellent piece of business from the Merseysiders.
