As Liverpool prepare for a return to Premier League action after the winter break, the fans have been paying close attention to the footage coming out of the club’s Melwood training ground – and particularly the images of Naby Keita running out on to the training field.
The 25-year-old has suffered from several injuries since joining the Anfield club, much to the frustration of the supporters who, judging by their comments, were thrilled to see him back.
Can Naby Keita put his injury troubles behind him and play a key role for the rest of the season?

Ppl should really chill with Naby, he is still young! Remember when everyone thought Hendo was injury prone…

Others, however, were more amused by Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk’s actions.

What do we think?
Naby Keita joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig for £54m in 2018 (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) and to date, the midfielder has made 49 appearances for the club. As mentioned above, injuries have prevented Keita playing as regularly as Jurgen Klopp would have liked. He’s missed a total of 23 games due to various problems, primarily with his groin.
As we head into the business end of the season, Jurgen Klopp will surely be pleased to have the 25-year-old available, allowing him to rotate as they look to achieve all of their objectives.
