The Egyptian played 73 minutes of the match in Madrid before being swapped for the oncoming Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Salah’s performance in the match earned him a match rating of 5.9, the lowest of any player on the pitch (per WhoScored). Given how Salah has managed to earn himself a season rating of 7.40 so far this year, his latest drop in standards against Atletico is a big surprise. The hope for the Liverpool fans now is that Salah will find his form again as the Reds carry on through their season.
