Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to comments made by Ian Wright on a potential move for Kylian Mbappe.
This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LivEchoLFC shared a post on their page that included an article from the Liverpool Echo relaying quotes made by Wright on BBC Radio 5 Live saying he would choose to join the Reds if he were the PSG striker.
Should Liverpool break their transfer record for Mbappe?
Yes, he's worth it
No, he'd be too expensive
This post then gathered a number of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to have their say on the situation.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans discussing a potential move for Mbappe:
All he has to do is contribute to his own transfer fee, halve his wage demands and accept he may not always play ?

He wouldn’t get in the team

Would he be looking to come for cheap though? There’s no way LFC would pay that price tag.

The Frenchman is currently valued at a huge £180 million according to Transfermarkt, the highest of any football player in the world at the moment (per Transfermarkt). Now that Wright has suggested that Liverpool would be the best club for Mbappe to join at the moment, some Liverpool fans have been sharing their doubts over a possible future move for the striker.
If having Mbappe means the club have to revolve around him for everything then I rather we have a squad of united and committed STARS in the club. Football is team sport.

He’s a show pony. I don’t believe that has the right work ethic for Liverpool,

One fan even mentioned former Liverpool player Mario Balotelli. The Italian was known for his bad attitude during his time at Anfield, so you can understand why Reds fans may be cautious about Mbappe after witnessing the video that surfaced recently of him throwing a strop after being substituted.
His character is not ideal for Liverpool FC. Who wants another Mario Balotelli anyway?

Stay away

Not happening. No way we will pay the ridiculous fee or wages involved. Klopp takes a rough diamond for a fraction of the cost and polishes it until it shines.

To the bank

What do we think?
It seems now that Liverpool fans have been thinking about the logistics a move for Mbappe that would need to be covered instead of just being obsessed with the idea of him joining the club. The truth is that it would likely cost a record fee to take Mbappe away from Paris anytime soon.
