Liverpool suffered a scare at Anfield on Monday night when West Ham United came from behind to lead after 54 minutes in their Premier League clash on Monday. However, despite a valiant effort from the Londoners, Jurgen Klopp’s side went on to win the game after they equalised through Mohamed Salah somewhat fortuitously on 68 minutes when Lukasz Fabianski made a terrible mistake.
Sadio Mane then ensured the home side took all three points when he turned in Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross after 81 minutes. Virgil van Dijk took to social media shortly after the game’s conclusion where he posted a message reminding his teammates and the fans not to take anything for granted.
Is Virgil van Dijk the world's number one defender?
Yes
No
Loving his attitude, these fans flocked to the post to praise the 28-year-old despite his team’s uncharacteristically poor defensive performance.

What do we think?
In our view, Liverpool were certainly not at their brilliant best on Monday night as West Ham threatened to pull off a huge shock, but their ability to get over the line even when the performance wasn’t great has arguably been key to their success this season.
