Liverpool fans on Twitter have been reacting to Lee Dixon’s latest quotes on Twitter.
This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LivEchoLFC shared a post on their official page that included an article from the Liverpool Echo relaying Dixon’s quotes from the Daily Star.
Dixon claimed that Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder “has done a better job than Klopp” this season.
Who has done a better job so far this season?
Jurgen Klopp
Chris Wilder
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were keen to have their say on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans discussing the comparison of Klopp and Wilder:
"Arguably he has done a better job than Klopp" https://t.co/y0OehJfIjM

The disrespect Liverpool are getting this season is phenomenal, European Champions, Super cup, World Champions, Premier League champions Elect,22 points clear, unbeaten. No ££ spent on transfers. But Wilder has done better to get his team 5th?

to say he has done a better job? it was totally unexpected as most thought Norwich and Villa would be stronger, but he has added and kept the team well structured. But he has not played in UCL, world club cup, super cup, travelled & sitting 22 points clear. Smells of jealousy!

Not a surprise, however the same was said about Nuno last season too.

The Sheffield United boss has guided his team to 5th place in the Premier League table after being promoted from the Championship. Now that Dixon has claimed that Wilder has done a better job than Klopp, who has seen his team fly to the top of the Premier League table with a current 22 point gap, this has sparked a big debate on Twitter with the majority of Reds fans not accepting Dixon’s view.
If Klopp’s name is Rowan Atkinson there would be no debate. But just because he is the famous German and Liverpool, everything is analyzed differently.

Everyone has to compare the rest to the best around, and then the conclusions get tainted by their own biases.
We’ve had Virgil compared to all sorts of nowherenears and countless other complete non starters of comparisons , so we’ll file his rubbish in the bin with them.— Jurgen Van Boi (@JurgenBoi) February 11, 2020

What do we think?
Given that Klopp’s side have won 24 out of a possible 25 Premier League matches so far this season, it’s no surprise that these Liverpool fans have chosen to disagree with Dixon’s comments on Wilder. But to be sitting in 5th place in their first season back in the Premier League in February is a big achievement from Wilder and Sheffield United that deserves recognition and applause.
