Liverpool are expected to spend big this summer as they prepare to move for Jadon Sancho, Timo Werner and Todd Cantwell, according to a report in the Daily Express. The Reds may have already run away with this season’s Premier League, but preparations to extend their period of dominance are already underway.
Some of the club’s supporters have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the rumours that they could be about to go on a summer spending spree.

What do we think?
The reaction to the report is mixed. There are those who have urged the club to splash the cash on the three aforementioned players, others who are questioning where the funds will come from and some who believe the club will do some business but signing all three seems unrealistic.
Jadon Sancho is currently valued at £108m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) and therefore his signing would perhaps require the largest investment. Timo Werner is worth £67.5m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) and with Todd Cantwell having contributed directly to eight goals in the Premier League for Norwich City this season, we can assume that in order to capture all three players, Liverpool would need to shell out in excess of £200m – making it in our view, unlikely.
