In response to an article published by The Athletic, some Liverpool fans have grown increasingly excited by the prospect of the club bringing German forward Timo Werner to Anfield. In the piece, written by Michael Cox and Tom Worville, they provide insight as to how the 23-year-old has evolved into one of Europe’s best forwards.
The RB Leipzig forward is being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League and it’s understood that Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of his compatriot, according to Sport Bild (via the Daily Mail).

What do we think?
Although there is nothing to suggest a deal for the striker is close, these fans have made it extremely clear they would welcome the German with open arms. Werner has earned his excellent reputation having already scored 20 goals and provided six assists in just 22 Bundesliga appearances this term. In our view, it’s not clear who he might replace from Liverpool’s front three nor if he will be limited to the bench but he would almost certainly add even more goals to an already talented group.
