Liverpool are said to be on the lookout for a left-back to provide cover for Andrew Robertson, according to James Pearce. The Reds are on course to win their first-ever Premier League title but preparations for the summer transfer window appear to have already begun.
Robertson signed for the club from Hull City in 2017 for £8.1m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk) and has gone on to establish himself as the club’s first-choice left-back, averaging a performance rating of 7.15/10 in the Premier League this season according to WhoScored.com.

Others were less specific regarding who they believe the club should target to supplement the Scot, however, they were pleased to hear the club are already preparing to strengthen in the summer.

We need to be practical. We need a back up for Robbo.

It’s crucial. Without a doubt.
A capable backup LB, with an ability to be a starter.MF: Atleast 1 creative mid, and some midfield clear-out needed.
Decisions need to be made on the futures of fringes, Shaqiri, Lallana— T.O.O Ogunrinde (@thegamepundit) February 16, 2020

What do we think?
Jamal Lewis was introduced as a substitute during Liverpool’s win over Norwich City to replace the injured Sam Byram after just 27 minutes. The 22-year-old gave a fine account of himself; his performance earned him a rating of 6.97/10 (via WhoScored.com) and so it’s no wonder some of these supporters would be pleased to see him in the famous red strip.
Currently valued at £10.8m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk), Lewis has made 16 appearances for the Canaries in the Premier League so far this season and could be an affordable option and provide suitable cover to the Scottish international.
