Fans of Everton have been reacting to Schalke 04’s reported interest in acquiring the services of Jonjoe Kenny on a permanent basis.
As reported by Der Westen, as cited by Sport Witness, the Bundesliga outfit would like to keep the Englishman as he has been an ‘indispensable top performer’ to the German side, which had some Everton fans worried.
Schalke would like to keep Jonjoe Kenny on a permanent basis as he has been a ‘indispensable top performer’ for them this season. However, it is said to be ‘almost impossible’ to keep him due to interest from other clubs. (Source: Der Westen via @Sport_Witness) #EFC pic.twitter.com/bXldjiZ4IL

If a £15-million bid arrived for Jonjoe Kenny, would you be willing to accept it?Yes, Kenny is decent but not first-team levelNo, he's a great prospect that we should keep |
However, while the report suggests that the German club are keen on keeping the youngster (via Sport Witness), his stats do little to back up an impressive season.
Over 21 games for Die Königsblauen in all competitions, Kenny has scored once and assisted twice (per Transfermarkt), which has left the 22-year-old with an average rating of 6.56/10 (per WhoScored), which led to some Everton fans remaining open to his departure.
People want him back but let’s keep in mind how terrible he was am sorry I know he’s local and I know he’s one of arw own but he wasn’t good enough when he played can’t even think where he played well in 5 games peiple might disagree but thats fine

What do we think?
Judging from the responses, supporters seem a little bit split on this one, with some believing that Kenny should be given a first-team chance, and others who are happy to sell.
While the German side is reportedly keen to buy Kenny outright, his stats this term are fairly uninspiring to say the least, so this one could all just be agent talk to drive up the player’s value.
