Supporters of Everton have aired that they think the Toffees should make Djibril Sidibe’s loan move permanent next month after Greg O’Keeffe’s Twitter post.
On Friday morning, the Athletic reporter shared an article which stated that next month the Toffees can take up the £12.5-million option to buy in the Frenchman’s loan deal (per Greg O’Keeffe), which had supporters wanting it done.
The Sidibe dilemma:
?Next month #Everton will be able to take up their £12.5m clause to buy him
??Assists are fourth best in the PL
?Is he good enough defensively & with a 23-man squad goal what about Jonjoe Kenny?
All analysed in today’s piece ??https://t.co/OiCWty0YPi

Buy him! Name a full back you could buy for 12m who is anywhere close to as useful as him.

Yes, sign him, decent squad player, no more

No-brainer – good value for money in my opinion

If Carlo Ancelotti could keep two players permanently, who would you rather it was?Sidibe and ColemanSidibe and KennyKenny and Coleman |
As mentioned by the journalist in his article, Sidibe boasts the fourth-best number of assists in the Premier League for a defender, with four over 18 league games (per Transfermarkt).
While there was an agreement amongst most supporters that the 27-year-old’s permanent arrival would be a good move, others in agreement felt that a move should spell the end for one man.
What they should be doing is saying bye bye to Coleman, buying Sidibe and having him and Kenny compete. Too often EFC are over-sentimental in keeping players on past their sell-by date. Love Seamus but he’s never been the same since the injury. Also a relic of a losing era

Why is the scenario of Kenny and Sidibe not being mentioned by anyone? Bin off Coleman who may well be a great Everton person, on the pitch he’s just not what he was and there is no room for sentiment in this game.

Buy him, sell Coleman and bring back Kenny.

As much as I liked him in the past, Seamus is nowhere near the player he was before the injuries. Sign Sidibe and bring back JJ to battle it out for that position next season.

What do we think?
When comparing the three players’ average ratings from this season, Sidibe and Seamus Coleman are the two best performers of the three so far this season.
By that method, Sidibe, who has an impressive 7.08/10 average rating, would be the starter and Coleman, who has a 6.59/10, would be his backup next season. This being as Jonjoe Kenny has the worst average rating of the three with a 6.56/10 (per WhoScored).
