Supporters of Everton have reacted to a transfer report which stated that Carlo Ancelotti has given the ‘green light’ over signing Djibril Sidibe.

According to Football Insider, the 60-year-old Italian has told the club’s hierarchy that he wants the £12-million clause in the Frenchman’s loan contract activating (via Everton News Feed), which some fans were delighted about.

Do you think that it is a sensible move buying Djibril Sidibe for £12 million?

Yes, he's been good enough

Yes, he's been good enough

No, he's been too inconsistent

During his stay at Goodison Park so far, on a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco, the 27-year-old has featured in 21 games in all competitions, in which he has bagged five assists (per Transfermarkt).

However, despite having a solid average rating of 7.08/10 (per WhoScored), some supporters were not interested in acquiring the Frenchman’s services on a more permanent basis.

What do we think?

While some supporters are putting their belief in Jonjoe Kenny returning to the club and instantly being a first-team starter, the young Englishman only has an average rating of 6.56/10 for Schalke 04 (per WhoScored).

With one goal and two assists in 21 games in all competitions also (per Transfermarkt), Kenny has fewer goal involvements than Sidibe does in the same number of games (per Transfermarkt).
