Supporters of Everton have been reacting to footage of Jonjoe Kenny which emerged on Twitter of a block made by the on-loan Schalke 04 defender.
Following a tweet from the Bundesliga club’s official account, the footage was shared to the Goodison Park faithful by @TheGwladysStreet, which initially intended to slate the young full-back, however, some supporters defended Kenny.
So, so, so, so, so, so far out of position. https://t.co/1szzdImy5E

Ends up tracking his runner and puts a block on. More positives then negatives but I guess he’s a young Everton player so let’s hammer him.

I’ve watched him all season he’s been terrific, I wouldn’t come back if I was him for reasons above….Constant criticism from fans with sheer lack of knowledge!

The beginning of the clip he is ball watching and doesn’t track the guy who shoots. He just walks past him. JJK only reacts when the ball is at the players feet.

What do we think?
As has been reported in recent weeks, Schalke are interested in acquiring the defender’s services on a ‘long-term’ basis according to SportBild, as cited by Sport Witness.
So, as one fan suggested, with the German club interest and Kenny’s average rating for the season uninspiring, should a bid arrive, who knows what the future holds for the youngster.
