Fans of Everton have been praising Duncan Ferguson after an image of the club’s assistant manager emerged on Twitter.
On Thursday night, a photo of the Scotsman was posted after he had been to visit a family of Everton fans and had signed a shirt for them (as per @EllisNordhoff), which Toffees supporters loved.
What has just happened??
Duncan Ferguson, our hero, has just came to our house!
You deserve this Dad, you’ve been the rock of this family through such a tough 18 months.
Thanks so much to @Everton, there’s no club like ours!? pic.twitter.com/vlYB1QePoj— Ellis Nordhoff (@EllisNordhoff) February 19, 2020

Would you like Duncan Ferguson to be Everton's manager after Carlo Ancelotti leaves the club one day?Yes, he is the perfect heirNo, not enough experience |
Ferguson spent 10 years with the Toffees as a player between 1995 and 2006, spending a season and a half with Newcastle United in between two stints (per Transfermarkt).
The 48-year-old former striker further solidified his position in Everton folklore earlier this season when the Scot took the reins of the club following Marco Silva’s sacking in a caretaker capacity and guided them to an unbeaten run in the league (per TalkSPORT), leaving fans keen on the Scotsman to take over full-time one day.
Should be Everton manager !! No question!!
