On Thursday, the Bundesliga outfit posted a video to their official Twitter account (via Everton News Feed), which had some Everton fans demanding that the full-back was recalled from Germany.

Should Jonjoe Kenny be a first-team starter for Everton next season?Yes, he's good enough to beNo, needs another year on loan |
During his season-long loan with the German club (per BBC), Kenny has featured in 21 games in all competitions, during which he has scored once and assisted twice (per Transfermarkt).
In the past week, though, according to Der Westen, as cited by Sport Witness, Schalke have made it clear that they would like the Englishman permanently, however, Everton fans wanted him back at Goodison Park immediately after the post.

What do we think?
Well, it is without a doubt as to what Everton fans think judging from the response, although they cannot really be blamed too much after the video.
On the pitch, though, while the German side is keen on keeping Kenny, his average rating does not suggest a stellar season, with a 6.56/10 (per WhoScored). Hopefully, he can improve on that over the remainder of this term.
