Crystal Palace won their first game since the beginning of the new year last weekend as they bested Newcastle United. The 1-0 win will provide Roy Hodgson’s side with some much-needed confidence heading into league matches against Brighton, Watford and Bournemouth.
But this week, after the club posted a photo of one of their players, fans became frustrated once again.
The post was of Brandon Pierrick. The 18-year-old midfielder was pictured posing for the camera, with the caption ‘Palace lad’ accompanying the tweet.
When the club posted the tweet, fans demanded to know why the club was refusing to play the London-born player. He has only been rewarded with seven minutes of Premier League action this season.

One fan even calls for the player to start, while another questions if Hodgson knows that Pierrick is a Palace lad.

What do we think?
It is clear that the Palace fans want to see Pierrick given a chance. Right now, however, it doesn’t look like Hodgson is interested in handing out too many minutes to the player. With the club only nine points above a relegation spot, Hodgson may be calling on experience over potential in the second half of the season.
