Fans of Crystal Palace have been reacting to a post by the club on Twitter, in which a graphic informs that the Eagles’ haul of 33 points after 27 games is their best-ever Premier League return.
Palace currently occupy 13th place in the Premier League table, having won eight, drawn nine and lost 10 games this season.
After an impressive start to the season, which included a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford, a 2-1 away victory at West Ham, as well as a 2-2 draw with Arsenal, Palace found themselves sitting in sixth place in the table after 10 matches, just one point off Arsenal in fifth.
Despite their inability to maintain European-place form, Palace’s season remains on course to be a success, as illustrated by the club’s recent post on Twitter.
However, Palace fans appeared less than impressed with the stat, with many stating their belief that their side should have acquired more points than the 33 they currently have.

What do we think?
It is easy to understand Palace fans’ concerns, as their side have won just two of their past 12 Premier League games.
If that form continues, and Palace find themselves slipping towards the relegation zone, their current best points total at this stage of the season will count for nothing.
