Aston Villa fans have been criticising Tyrone Mings for his poor display against former side AFC Bournemouth at the weekend.
This comes after Villa journalist Gregg Evans shared a post on his page after Dean Smith’s side fell to a 2-1 defeat on the south coast.
Evans revealed that Mings stayed on the pitch after the full-time whistle to shake the hand of every Bournemouth player and member of staff.
Is Tyrone Mings to blame for Villa's defeat at Bournemouth?
Yes
No
This post from Evans then led to numerous Villa fans replying with their negative opinions on Mings’ performance in the defeat.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans slating Mings:

The Englishman, who is currently valued at £25.2 million according to Transfermarkt, made the move from Bournemouth to Villa on a permanent basis in the last summer transfer window (per Transfermarkt). Now, after losing to his former side and earning himself a match rating of 6.1 according to WhoScored, some Villa fans were eager to share their thoughts on the defender’s display.
I think he was playing for them today as well!!

What do we think?
It’s totally okay for the Villa fans to criticise Mings because that is their opinion, but to do it after a post revealing how he was doing a nice thing for his previous club seems a bit unnecessary. With Mings currently having a season rating of 6.65 according to WhoScored, the Villa fans will be hoping that the Englishman can improve his form as the club float above the relegation zone.
