This comes after the Englishman shared a post on Twitter quote-tweeting a post originally shared by @villareport that contained a video clip from Football Daily of Prince William telling John McGinn that Mings is his favourite Villa player.

The 26-year-old, who is currently valued at £25.2 million according to Transfermarkt, is in the middle of his first year as a permanent Villa player after signing from AFC Bournemouth following the end of his loan spell last summer. Now that Mings has responded to the video of Prince William saying the defender is his favourite Villa player because of his work in the community and his career journey so far, many Villa fans have done the same in response to Mings.

It must be great for Mings knowing that a member of the Royal Family has chosen him as their favourite Villa player. In terms of who’s giving the praise, there are not many other people higher up in today’s society that you can get praise from.
