Dean Smith’s side won the shootout 4-3 with former Villa striker Tammy Abraham scoring the winning penalty at the Hawthorns (per Transfermarkt). After this win, Villa then went on to beat Derby County 2-1 to secure their place in this season’s Premier League campaign. This resurgence of the footage from the penalty shootout then led to a lot of Villa fans replying with their memories of the match.
Mind games to the highest degree. From staring him down, getting a drink to his right hand side, hoping about to his right hand side then saving to his left. Brilliant

Every time I see Tammy’s pen I think it’s going to be saved. Wasn’t the most convincing ??

What do we think?
To beat your city rivals to secure a place in the Championship play-off final would have been a great feeling for the Villa fans. But to do it in such dramatic fashion down to the wire would make it an even more special memory for the fans.
