Aston Villa fans have been talking on Twitter about Scott Hogan’s loan move to Birmingham City.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their page asking their followers did the club make a mistake in letting Hogan leave on loan in the January transfer window.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were eager to have their say on the matter.
Will Scott Hogan be a Villa player next season?
Yes
No

No as his value and confidence is going up. So we either get a player back who has his confidence back or we get some money back which was looking unlikely a couple of months ago.

He would never cut it in the premier league it’s simple. We 100% did the right thing. Sending a player out to rediscover his form and get his confidence back is only beneficial to us. Whether we sell or keep.

No, he had multiple opportunities at VP but failed repeatedly to show anything. He also failed on loan at other championship clubs.

Since making the move to Villa’s City rivals in January, Hogan has scored four goals in five appearances for Birmingham so far (per Transfermarkt). Despite this successful record for his new side, these Villa fans don’t think their club made a mistake in sending Hogan out on loan until the end of the season.
No. Wasn’t good enough for us in thr Championship, no reason to think he’d cut it in the Prem.

No, #BCFC are finally getting him into form for when we need Scott next season.#avfc #utv

The system they play is simply better for him. Our long wayward balls did nothing for his game.

What do we think?
It’s good to see Hogan, who is valued at £2.7 million (as per Transfermarkt), thriving at Birmingham after having a poor time on loan at Stoke City during the first half of the season where he only made 13 Championship appearances. If Hogan can end his season on a high note, he could well become a significant figure for Villa next season.
