Some West Brom fans have taken the opportunity to commend manager Slaven Bilic on social media for the league leaders’ impressive run of form.

Baggies fans have reacted positively to recent comments from the club’s chief executive Mark Jenkins, in which the Baggies chief praises Bilic’s work so far this season. As reported by The Express and Star, Jenkins recently stated that after “two or three months” of working with Bilic, he found himself asking “why is he here and not at a Premier League club?”.

Bilic has been the recipient of all-round praise lately, as many West Brom fans have shared a similar view to Jenkins following the chief executive’s recent comments, praising the quality of manager that the club have currently got in Bilic. One Baggies fan referred to the Croat as ‘one of the best’ managers that the club has ever had.

What do we think:

West Brom currently sit four points clear at the top of the Championship table. Furthermore, the Baggies have scored a total of 59 goals in their 33 Championship fixtures so far this season to get themselves to the top of the table, which also makes them the Championship’s top goalscorers at present

According to the Express and Star, Mark Jenkins specifically noted how Bilic’s conduct behind the scenes won him over, stating: “In all my years in the game, Slaven is the only manager I have known [to] take the trouble to pop down the corridor to the offices of the CEO to personally thank him for all the support and efforts taken to sign the players.”

In addition to that, his success on the pitch may have equally endeared him to the Baggies faithful this season.
