QPR fans have been reacting to veteran right-back Angel Rangel’s post on Twitter, in which he reflects on the Hoops’ 4-2 Championship victory over Stoke City on Saturday.

The Spaniard had already impressed for QPR earlier in the week, with a match rating of 7.22 (via WhoScored) in their 0-0 draw with Swansea, before further improving his reputation among the R’s fans with his comments after a thrilling comeback victory at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium this Saturday.

Although the West London side found themselves 2-0 down after 31 minutes, two quick-fire goals from Jordan Hugill and Eberechi Eze drew the Hoops level before half time.

After the break, QPR started strongest and completed their spectacular comeback with Bright Osayi-Samuel firing home on 71 minutes, before Ilias Chair sealed the points with a fourth in stoppage time.

The win delighted the R’s players and fans alike, with many taking to social media in reaction to Rangel’s assessment of the match.

What do we think?

QPR’s victory ended a winless run of five games, leaving them sitting in 16th place in the Championship table, exactly 11 points above the relegation zone and 11 points below the play-off places.

The Stoke game is an accurate reflection of their season so far – effective in attack but careless at the back – with the Hoops having scored an impressive 51 goals – the third-best return in the league – while also conceding 58 times – joint second-worst in the league.

With games running out, and a sizeable gap to both the relegation and promotion places, QPR’s season will likely end in mid-table obscurity. However, if Mark Warburton can tighten up his defence, while maintaining their current attacking output, QPR could be a Championship force to be reckoned with next season.
