Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting angrily on social media to Sabri Lamouchi’s recent comments that were delivered in his press conference in the build-up to the Reds’ top-of-the-table clash with West Brom this afternoon.
The Frenchman stated: “The players were sad [in midweek] and they know they missed an opportunity, but it is not the first or last one. We just need to focus on the next, keep the consistency and keep working because this is the Championship.” (via Nottinghamforest.co.uk)
However, some fans have criticised their manager’s comments as hypocritical, after the 48-year-old made five changes from the team that beat Leeds last week in the starting line-up of Wednesday’s home defeat to Charlton.

Sounding like a hypocrite Sabri.

Keep the consistency, are you kidding Sabri?! Leeds. Unchanged midweek. Brentford. Unchanged midweek. West Brom. Unchanged midweek. Fulham. You get the idea…..

Yes consistency is the key. So try to be consistent with team selection and don’t swap out 50% of a winning side for no reason #crucialgames

What do we think?
Lamouchi can be forgiven for wanting to rest his key players, as games in the Championship come thick and fast. The Charlton game also appeared to be a perfect opportunity to do so, having played a difficult fixture against Leeds in their previous match, with an even more challenging game at West Brom next up for the Reds.
If Forest do manage to take all three points from the Hawthorns in the lunchtime kick-off, one would imagine the current frustrations would all soon be forgotten.
