Some West Bromwich Albion fans have made it clear that they are currently heart-broken about the fact that club veteran Chris Brunt could be set to join Stoke City in January.
The Athletic have claimed recently that Brunt could be set to join the Championship side in January, with the player now slipping down the pecking order at the Hawthorns at the club these days.
They say that a move to Stoke would hand Brunt the chance to play regularly, even though West Brom would like to persuade him to stay at The Hawthorns this month.
West Brom fans: Should Brunt leave?
Never, breaks my heart
He's got to go
This has left many Baggies fans heartbroken and they don’t want the veteran to leave the club.
Should stay and retire with the club imo

Personally think he will want to stay and be apart of promotion back to the premier league hopefully although he doesn’t play no doubt he is a big character in the dressing room, which is what is needed.

A real shame but understandable. He’s been my favourite Albion player for over a decade and, unless I missed it, should be given a testimonial at the end of the season to celebration his contribution to the club. Regardless of whether he’s still here or not.

Nooo, I don’t want him to go!

Brunt has been with the club through the ups and downs that have come about at the Hawthorns. He joined the club back in 2007 from Sheffield Wednesday and has been at the club for over 12 years now. But this season, he is falling short of game time.
The 35-year-old midfielder has made only nine appearances in all competitions for West Brom this season, with only four of them coming in the Championship and four coming for the West Brom Under-23s side in the Premier League 2. He played once in the League Cup too. All of his appearances have come from the central midfield.
Brunt was a regular for West Brom last season though, as he made 36 appearances in all competitions. He racked up a tally of two goals and seven assists during this time. Brunt had played 269 appearances for West Brom during their stay in the Premier League.
What do we think?
Brunt deserves regular football after having been a long servant to West Brom. Perhaps, this is the time he thinks about his own career instead of the club, which could help his career progress, even though West Brom are likely to get promotion. But as things stand, he needs regular football. Stoke might guarantee that more than West Brom do.
