Supporters of West Bromwich Albion have slated Kyle Bartley for his performance in the 2-1 defeat to Cardiff City.
During last night’s round of Championship fixtures, the Baggies suffered a disappointing defeat away to the Bluebirds (as per Sky Sports) and following the loss supporters reserved specific criticism for the central defender.

When will Johnstone and Bartley get dropped?

Braindead from Bartley. Awful.

My overreaction to today:
– Slaven Bilic has been out-managed for two months
– Sam Johnstone needs to sit on the bench
– Kyle Bartley is a defensive liability
– Sell Ahmed Hegazi immediately
– Kyle Edwards can’t dribble, pass or shoot
– Kenneth Zohore is an embarrassment— Mark Sheldon (@markdsheldon) January 28, 2020
Should Kyle Bartley be dropped for West Brom's next game?Yes, he was absolutely terribleNo, he wasn't that bad for us |
So far this season, the 28-year-old Englishman, who is valued at £3.6 million (as per Transfermarkt), has featured in 28 games in all competitions for Slaven Bilic’s side, during which he has no goals, one assist and picked up six yellow cards (as per Transfermarkt).
Over the course of this term, the central defender has picked up a solid 7.06/10 average rating (per WhoScored), however, many fans were still adamant in their criticism.
Bartley awful in the build up to that free kick.

What do we think?
With a 4/10 performance rating in the defeat to Cardiff (as per Birmingham Mail), it is absolutely clear to see why supporters are frustrated with the Englishman.
However, with his strong average rating for the season so far (as per WhoScored), it may be that Baggies fans are being a little harsh on the 28-year-old.
