Sunderland officially moved into a League One playoff spot this past weekend after beating Wycombe Wanderers, who were in first place before the match. The 4-0 thrashing was a major sign of intent from Phil Parkinson, whose side is now unbeaten in their last six games. In fact, in their last four games, they have won three. This is a stark difference to how Parkinson started his tenure at the club.
One of the highlights from the match was Denver Hume scoring his first senior goal for the team. After the match, the club posted footage of Hume’s goal. Fans love the defender’s composure and suggested that the goal topped off a brilliant individual performance. Another fan hints that Hume could have a bright future as an offensive fullback turned winger in the future, much like Gareth Bale.

Gareth bale started as left back, could we have found Hume true position.

Could Denver Hume have a future playing on the wing?
Yes
No
Others focused more on the goal’s buildup. They reckon that Barcelona would have been proud to have scored such a goal.

You’ve made a mistake mate, you’ve accidentally put Barcelona highlights on instead

What do we think?
After the club went through a period were goals looked hard to come by, it is great for Sunderland fans to see the club scoring four in one game. A first goal for Hume is the icing on the cake. The goal’s buildup will provide hope for the Sunderland fans who are finally seeing Parkinson make the impact they would have hoped for.
