Sunderland’s recent form has been nothing short of miraculous. Well, in comparison to their November results, that is. Since their loss to Gillingham on December 7, the side have been undefeated.
When the club posted the team’s next four league fixtures, fans began predicting the points tally they would be taking from the next few games. Many fans think 10 points is a must, while others would settle for nine or eight. But almost every fan expects to get at least two wins from the four-game stretch. It could be a huge boost to their promotion charge. One fan does think they need to rest players before their trip to Portsmouth though.

Could do with 9 points to keep us in the hunt for a promotion spot #Hawaythelads

How many wins do you think Sunderland will achieve in their next four games?
0-2
3-4
What do we think?
Despite dropping two points to Doncaster at the weekend, the side still sits in a playoff spot. However, with Portsmouth being just a point behind them with a game in hand, they do sit precariously in that position. Luckily for the Black Cats, they face the Hampshire club during this stretch of games. It does make the match that much more important for Phil Parkinson’s side.
