A lot of Sunderland fans have reacted to news that the club want to sign Liam Bridcutt and Zach Clough from Nottingham Forest as they look to strengthen their squad.
Bridcutt spent three years with Sunderland while they were in the Premier League, and in that time, he made 36 appearances for the club before he moved to Leeds United and then Forest.
Who would be the better signing for Sunderland?
Bridcutt
Clough
Here has struggled to make the grade, and it looks like he could be heading back to Wearside if a report in the Sunderland Echo is to be believed.
This has not gone down well on Twitter with many Black Cats fans.
I understand #SAFC are interested in bringing Liam Bridcutt back to the Stadium of Light this month.
They are also keen on his #NFFC teammate, Zach Clough.

What do we think?
Sunderland are looking to back Phil Parkinson with signings that will allow him to mount a promotion charge and Bridcutt and Clough could be the next two players to arrive this month after Kyle Lafferty.
Bridcutt, who is now 30, could add some real steel in the Sunderland midfield – while Clough was once highly rated but has seen his career stagnate.
Both have spent time with Bolton in recent years and could be good additions.
Clough is a 24-year-old winger who in 121 appearances has scored 28 goals and provided 11 assists.
Some Black Cats fans are not happy with this potential double deal, but it could turn out to be a coup for Sunderland.
