Former Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal was a guest on TalkSPORT’s mid-morning White and Sawyer show on Wednesday and spoke of his connection with the club during his time at Hillsborough. The 54-year-old, who’s currently the boss of Rio Ave FC in his native Portugal, enjoyed two-and-a-half years as manager of the Championship side and spoke fondly of his tenure with the Yorkshire club.
Twice, he led his side to the play-offs but they were unable to go one step further and secure promotion to the Premier League.
Despite things taking a turn south at the end of his stint as boss, these fans were quick to point out that he brought some of the best times in a long-time to the club.
Would you like to see him back at Hillsborough some day?

What do we think?
It’s clear the supporters still have great affection for the Portuguese coach and recognise the fantastic job he did at Hillsborough for the most part of his time there. A genuine football man whose passion shines through in his interviews and it’s no wonder he remains so well-liked.
