Not every player was able to shine during Rangers’ win against St. Mirren. The side narrowly beat the 10th place side with a goal from Jermain Defoe. Joe Aribo was one of the players finding life difficult during the game. Despite getting a 7/10 rating in Rangers News’ player ratings, the site admitted that he struggled to make an impact against St. Mirren’s 10 men defensive line (Rangers News).
Many fans on Twitter agreed that Aribo could have made a much bigger impact on proceedings. They felt he was ineffective and unable to make an impact on proceedings. They couldn’t believe that a sane Rangers fans could watch that game and think anything otherwise.
Who was worse?

True but I thought Aribo was generally ineffective, I was disappointed how little he hurt them. Killer instinct needed for him to be a top player.

Aribo does away from home when he gets space but definitely not in home games like tonight

Did Aribo just give the ball away again

Genuinely surprised that people watched that game and thought Aribo played well.
Not a single pass mark for me. It was that bad.— Faceless (@FacelessRanger) January 22, 2020
Does Joe Aribo have a right foot?

What do we think?
Luckily for the 23-year-old, there is still plenty of opportunities for him to shine going forward. If he can get back to his best he will be an important cog in Gerrard’s side as they push toward’s the league title this season.
