Achieving three points will be all most fans are concerned about after the Gers’ match against St. Mirren this week. The performance produced just one goal, as veteran striker Jermain Defoe scored. After the match, St. Mirren have lost the most league games out of any side in the Scottish Premiership this season. Needless to say, Steven Gerrard would have been hoping for a more convincing win, as would the fans.
There was one surprising positive in the game though. Sheyi Ojo has received a lot of criticism this year from the Rangers fans who don’t think he has done enough when he has been given his chances.
But in the face of this criticism, Ojo was determined to persevere. And when he came on against St. Mirren, he did just that. Fans were pleasantly surprised with the Liverpool loanee’s impact on the game, despite not being able to help the side double their lead.
3 points job done!! St Mirren done what’s their right to do park the bus, it’s always a poor games to watch when the other team has no interest in scoring. Ojo was decent when he came on

Glad to see praise of Ojo. Fans always on his back but thought both he and Arfield offered what we needed tonight. Driving at them and running in behind rather than pass pass pass in front

Katic was my MOTM. A threat at every set piece and solid as a rock in defence.
Ojo did well when he came on too… it has been a long time since he has looked decent.
Horrible game to watch but 3points are all that counts.

Do you think Ojo can push on an challenge for Aribo's spot?
Yes
No
Some fans don’t understand how others can be upset with his performance during the game. What more could they want?
Not tonight btw, Ojo came on and did well for the time he got. Agree Flanagan didn’t have a bad game either.

What do we think?
Ojo’s performance against St. Mirren could be the start of a positive run of games for the player. If he can continue to produce convincing performances, he could begin to challenge Joe Aribo for a spot on the right-wing.
