Liverpool fans have been reacting to the latest news surrounding former Red Emre Can, with a return to Anfield on the minds of many supporters.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying information originally published by Tuttosport.
The post claimed that Can told Manchester United that he “wasn’t interested in signing for them as he doesn’t want to spoil the good affection and feelings he has from his time at Liverpool.”

The German left Anfield to join Juventus on a free transfer in the 2018 summer window (per TransferMarkt). With the latest update on Can revealing Juventus would be willing to sell the midfielder and with Can’s words saying he wouldn’t play for United out of respect for Liverpool, this has sparked a big debate on Twitter.

What do we think?
It’s good to see Can, who is valued at £27 million (as per Transfermarkt), still having respect for Liverpool even though he doesn’t play for them anymore. But with Juventus willing to sell him after just a year-and-a-half at the club, that goes to show his move away from Merseyside may not have been the best decision for him.
