These Leeds United fans were fuming with Anthony Taylor after their FA Cup clash against Arsenal on Monday night.
Taylor has given out 76 yellow cards in 17 Premier League matches, however, on Monday night in Leeds’ FA Cup clash against Arsenal, Taylor only saw the need to hand out three yellow cards in total, with two of them being for Mateusz Klich and Stuart Dallas.
After the match, these Leeds United fans felt the referee was being biased towards the Premier League side, here’s what the Peacocks fans had to say on Twitter:
Is Anthony Taylor having a laugh. That man Xhaka commits his fourth yellow card offence and again no action from a referee who should be sitting on his hands next week. This Arsenal player SHOULD NOT BE ON THE FIELD OF PLAY. Klich of Leeds now gets a YC for a foul on Xhaka –

You should watch Leeds games every week… that’s not even half of what we get

He was very much a ‘premiership’ ref in second half!!

It’s a joke Keith.

Now you know what we have to put up with!!

He was completely conned all night by those Arsenal Players, they laughed at him everytime, a typical example of an inconsistent referee trying to be everyone’s mate instead of controlling a game from the 1st minute then lost it trying to control it when it was too late #LUFC

It’s coz it’s Leeds, we are hated by all referees and the EFL. Football league is corrupt

Is Anthony Taylor the worst referee in England?
Yes
No
Arsenal ended up winning the match 1-0 thanks to a Reiss Nelson goal, however, Leeds had more shots, more possession and better passing accuracy than the Premier League side.
What Do We Think?
At the end of the day, Arsenal won the match and continue their run in the FA Cup. Whether you agree with Anthony Taylor’s decisions or not, Leeds United didn’t put the ball in the back of the net and ultimately paid the price for wasting the six shots on target they had.
Klich had a very poor tackle completion percentage of 43%, so it’s no surprise that the Polish midfielder was booked, making that argument seem slightly biased, although at the time it could have been seen as a biased decision.
