These Leeds United fans have been discussing the latest Ian Carlo Poveda rumours on Twitter.
It’s been reported by Leeds Live that: “Ian Carlo Poveda’s signature remains up for grabs despite spending the weekend with Leeds United’s rivals in Italy.” This was later relayed to the Leeds United fans via Beren Cross on Twitter.
Ian Carlo Poveda is currently playing for Manchester City’s U23s in the Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League. However, Poveda started his career in the Barcelona youth setup, before moving to Brentford’s academy in July 2014.
Here’s what the Leeds United fans had to say about the Ian Carlo Poveda rumours on Twitter:
Understand Poveda's undecided. Told he was in Italy over the weekend with his father, which tallies with the Torino report. Parma want him too. Being over there is not the same as a signature. Leeds still pressing on with City talks. #lufc https://t.co/dXvuepGyIH

If we hadn’t left ourselves so thin in the summer we wouldn’t be getting dragged around on this high pressure merry chase for players to make a profit on in 2 years time. Just money ball signings. Not going to make an impact on first 11.

It’s not happening then, did we offer him a bag of Doritos and a 2litre bottle of tizer

Move on. We need a defender who can cope with attackers over 6’2″, a holding midfielder and a forward who can hit a barn door. Not to mention, cover for Meslier.

So far this season, Ian Carlo Poveda has scored one goal and has assisted twice in the Premier League 2, but has had better success in the UEFA Youth League, scoring twice in four games.
These Leeds United fans didn’t seem to be too bothered whether this deal happened or not, they seemed to be more concerned over how long it’s taking.
Tbh not bothered about this one – he’s obv undecided so let it be and he won’t play anyway – I’m worried about the 2/3 1st teamers we are short of

Would you like Leeds United to sign Ian Carlo Poveda?
Yes, he's amazing!
No, he's overrated!
What Do We Think?
Signing Ian Carlo Poveda would clearly be a one for the future type signing, as going from the Premier League 2 straight to the Championship is unlikely.
The 19-year-old has played for England’s U20s, so Poveda clearly has talent, but these fans aren’t too interested in signing him. We would also like to see Leeds United avoid this deal, Poveda is still too young and unproven to make an impact in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
