These Leeds United fans have still got a soft spot for former Elland Road star Ross McCormack.
After the Second Tier Podcast tweeted out reminding fans of how clinical Ross McCormack was in the Championship, these Leeds United fans were reminiscing over the 33-year-old’s time at the club.
McCormack is a former Peacocks player and currently a free agent, but most recently played for Aston Villa before being released in July 2019 (Transfermarkt).
Here are some of the comments from the Leeds fans on Twitter:

He was a quality player for us. Ridiculously clinical. Exactly what we’re missing at the minute. #lufc

The goals he scored for Leeds were top class and i’ve not seen anyone do that here since #lufc

If we had him this season on prior form we’d of been up already #lufc

Was the stand out player for a full season at Leeds. Would have been screwed without him.

Unreal for us in 2013/14. Imagine him at his peak under Bielsa ???

McCormack managed to produce 58 goals and 31 assists in 157 appearances for Leeds, so it’s easy to understand why so many fans are fond of him.
Should never have sold him

We need him back

Would you sign Ross McCormack?
Yes
No
What Do We Think?
With McCormack currently being a free agent, this move would be very easy for Marcelo Bielsa’s side to pull off, as they wouldn’t have to negotiate with any other clubs. However, it seems extremely unlikely that he will ever return to Elland Road as a player as he’s nearing the end of his career at the age of 33, and Leeds are currently chasing Premier League football.
