A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to Graham Smyth’s latest transfer update in which he claims that Leeds are still holding out hope for Che Adams despite reports suggesting that he will stay at St Mary’s.
If Leeds don't sign a striker who should lead the line?
Bamford
Roberts
This has not gone down well with many Leeds fans who want their club to take some decisive transfer action.
Leeds United still holding out hope for Che Adams, despite reports that Southampton will keep hold of him, but working on other 'proven' striker options and ready to change tack if needs be.https://t.co/VBfv3jhKDY#lufc

Why do Leeds need to be so linear in their player pursuit, this simply wastes time, although that would be a feasible strategy if the emphasis is on not signing anyone.

We cannot afford to let this drag on per the Dan James saga. We should give them 48 hours to complete this or we move on

If needs be? It’s needed! There has been no progression the past week with Southampton consistently saying they don’t him to go, move on before it’s too late yet again

Ah all in hand then ?

Other options ?????

Blah blah blah! An unbelievable situation is brewing where Bamford gets injured and we have no striker! Roberts possible but better at 10! Surely we won’t do another Dan James?? Will we????

What do we think?
Various sources are now reporting that the Adams deal is dead, and if that is the case, then the Whites board have to move onto other targets.
If they do not sign a striker, then Marcelo Bielsa will be left with one specialised forward in Patrick Bamford and the versatile Tyler Roberts, who has played 13 times as a striker for Leeds.
The Whites have lost Eddie Nketiah and Jack Clarke and have not replaced either.
These next two weeks are crucial for the Whites because if they leave Bielsa short, they could be risking their chance at automatic promotion.
