A lot of Leeds United fans are discussing their failure from set-pieces, and some feel that they badly miss Pontus Jansson.
This is after a table was released that shows the Whites have taken 211 corners this season – the most in the league.
Do Leeds miss Jansson?
Yes, he was a real threat from set-pieces
No, he was a liability
However, they have scored just three goals from corners, and many Leeds fans believe that it is because they are missing Jansson.
One of the most frustrating things about Leeds is the failure to win the first ball, so often, at corners. They're not a particularly tall side, but still, what a resource it could be.
It'll be interesting to see if Hernandez assumes full responsibility with Phillips out. https://t.co/S7gTne2vh8

If only we had dominant Swedish centre back winning balls in both boxes

We miss Jansson both attacking and defending set pieces. Do think if Douglas could stay fit and take all our set pieces our conversion would be abit better. I know that’s a big IF… For me Hernandez has to take the set pieces now. Even when Phillips is back!

The loss of Jansson is almost as glaring as the idiocy of not extending Roofe…

Jansson was aggressive at corners and was a nuisance even if he didn’t score. People forget, he has played as a Forward in the past, so was always more of a threat.

Pablo should take corners, free kicks and penalties, our centre half’s need to be chipping in with goals a la Pontus and Kyle during the Monk season

One thing with jansson going was his ability in both boxes.

Pontus was the danger man from corners but the manager didn’t want him ! ?

What do we think?
The big Swede, who is valued at £5.4m by Transfermarkt, left Elland Road last summer for Brentford, and he has played his part in the Championship’s tightest defence.
However, when the 28-year-old was at Leeds, he scored nine goals for the Whites, whereas this season neither Liam Cooper or Ben White have scored a goal.
Jansson has not actually scored for Brentford yet, but Leeds are clearly missing the Swedish international in terms of goalscoring.
Marcelo Bielsa’s team play some fantastic football, but they need to find a way to take advantage of the massive number of corners they take.
