A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to an image that shows the build-up to Millwall’s second goal.
The Lions were awarded a penalty that was scored by Jed Wallace (1:25) after Ezgjan Alioski fouled Jón Dadi Bödvarsson in the box. (1:07)
Was the ball in play?
Yes, just
No, clearly out
However, before Alioski made that tackle, the ball looked to have gone out of play for a throw-in to the Whites (1:02), but the referee waved play on.
Ryan Woods played the ball into the Icelandic striker (1:04) who turned past Alioski and was then brought down by the North Macedonian international.
However, this image released shows that the ball looks to be over the touchline, and this has infuriated these Leeds fans.

What do we think?
It is clear from the image that the ball is over the line, and the Whites should have been awarded a throw.
However, that is still no excuse for Alioski’s ridiculous challenge on Bodvarsson (1:07), and he is lucky that in the second half, Leeds emerged as a different team and ended up sealing a stunning 3-2 win.
The referee and his assistants are probably also relieved that this goal had no impact on the result.
