A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to Che Adams finding himself on the Southampton bench once again.
The Saints played Crystal Palace and rested Danny Ings. Ralph Hasenhuttl, though, selected Michael Obafemi and Shane Long over Adams. Southampton won 2-0 and Adams appeared for the last six minutes of the match.
Is this positive news for Leeds in their pursuit of Adams?
Yes, why would he want to sit on the bench
No, the Saints still need him
This has led many Whites fans to believe that they will end up signing Adams in this transfer window.
Ings benched and still no start for Adams. #lufc https://t.co/ytTwZ47wnk

The comments seem to be happy it’s Obafemi over Adams. Their loss…our gain!?

What do we think?
It seems strange that Hasenhuttl has insisted that he wants to keep Adams at St Mary’s yet when he rotates his squad, he leaves the 23-year-old on the bench behind Long, who has scored eight Premier League goals in the last three seasons, and Obafemi – who is a raw 19-year-old.
It seems that Adams, who is valued at £10.8m by Transfermarkt, could be the Saints’ fourth-choice striker, and that is not good for his career.
Leeds remain interested in the former Birmingham City man, and this latest snub for Adams might just give them a bit more hope of signing him.
Time is running out, though, and the Whites cannot afford to end January without signing another forward.
