Fulham have appointed Javier Pereira as their new Assistant Director of Football Operations with immediate effect.
He will work closely with Tony Khan on football matters including talent development and will be tasked with ensuring the club’s playing philosophy is embedded throughout the club, from the youth team right up until the first-team.
Pereira is a familiar face, having worked for the club in the not too distant past as Slavisa Jokanovic’s Assistant Manager and the fans were quick to make that point.

But overall, the reaction to the news was positive with many taking to social media to praise Khan for his decision.
This actually makes sense. I’m shocked.
Knows the club, knows the brand of football we want and can actually support TK when he’s off on his many other ventures.
Surprised we’ve done something so sensible.
What a move ???

What do we think?
Javier Pereira is familiar with the club, has plenty of Championship experience as well as a strong knowledge of football on a European and global scale.
This seems a smart appointment and one that should help the club to achieve their longer-term aspirations whilst building a culture and strong foundations on which they can grow.
