While Charlton Athletic fans would have loved to have seen their side win on the weekend, they will be hopeful after seeing the team take a point out of their match against league leaders West Bromwich Albion. The match finished 2-2 after Josh Davison and Tom Lockyer scored for the Addicks.
After the game, Charlton Athletic tweeted footage of Davison’s goal. In the tweet, they congratulated the player on scoring his first goal for the side. Many fans joined along, suggesting that he did well to get on the end of Naby Sarr’s knockdown.
Well taken. Great knock down from Naby!

Do you Davison will score more goals before the season is over?
No
Yes
Others praised Davison’s physicality during the match. They don’t think he struggled at all to deal with West Bromwich Albion’s centre-backs. He could certainly be a big player for them in the future.
Particular liked the way Josh gave as good as he got from WBA’s big centre halves. Didn’t let them bully him, backed in to them & competed for every ball to make it uncomfortable. When you’re playing alone up front, as Josh did for a lot of yesterday you’ve got to battle.

Josh was brilliant yesterday worked hard, was physical & aggressive to keep the ball against two strong centre half’s. He should be very pleased with this work rate & got his goal to prove it. A talent for the future.

What do we think?
Davison’s goal will hopefully hand the player a big boost heading into the second half of the season. Should he pop up with a few more goals, it could prove vital to Charlton Athletic’s success at avoiding relegation. Currently, the Addicks sit five points clear of the rest at the bottom.
