Charlton Athletic fans were treated to incredible news last week when the club announced a change of ownership. With East Street Investments taking over the club, it could potentially lead to a resurgence from the Addicks. It would incredible for the fans who are currently supporting a team fighting to avoid relegation (Sky Sports). The investment could save them this January, and potentially see them challenge for promotion in the near future. Only time will tell.
But in the meantime, the club’s new chairman, Matt Southall, encouraged fans to get down to The Valley on the weekend to support the team. Some fans said there were no excuses for fans not to show up. One insists he has a lot of faith in the new chairman.

Unless you got 4 weddings and a funeral to go too or work at a push then all #cafc fans should get themselves down the Valley on Saturday. #LetsGetTheValleyRocking #CharltonAreBack

Will you be at The Valley on Saturday?
Yes
No
Other fans called towards boycotters to return. They have no reason to stay away now. One fan answers the call, saying he will reclaim his season ticket.
This man, what a guy! Get down The Valley on Saturday everyone. Time for all you boycotters to return and #FillTheValley #cafc

What do we think?
Hopefully, for the fans, this new ownership can spark the first-team into a string of good results. That could be the difference between playing EFL League One football and challenging for the Premier League next season.
