Some Celtic fans feel that there is something wrong about the situation of the club’s outcast right-winger Marian Shved.

The Hoops beat Partick Thistle in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup recently and will take on Kilmarnock in the next game of the Premiership, with the winger failing to make the squad.

The Daily Record have stated that Marian Shved isn’t in the provisional squad for tonight.

A Celtic-related page called Everything Celtic, who stated that he would not be in the side for the upcoming game, asked Hoops fans about their opinion on Shved ahead of the game against Hibs. Many fans feel that something is wrong about the situation of the Ukrainian.

Brendan Rodgers had signed Shved from Ukrainian side Karpaty Lviv in the winter of 2019 when he had signed a four-and-a-half-year contract at Parkhead. In the second half of last season, he was sent back on loan to his former club to get first-team football.

For Lviv last season, Shved made a total of 26 appearances in all competitions for the club. He racked up a tally of 15 goals, picking up as many as four assists for them too.

As for Celtic, he hasn’t been a regular for them so far. He has made two appearances in all competitions for the club this season, with one coming in the Champions League qualifying stages and another coming in the Premiership.

What do we think?

The fact that Shved has played only two games till one half of the season shows that he might not be in the manager’s plans. At the age of 22, he needs regular football to develop or his career could stagnate. He should seek a move away this month – loan or permanently.
