Some Celtic fans have expressed their support of John Hartson in his opinion about the treatment of their outgoing player Scott Sinclair.
Sinclair had missed Celtic’s mid-season training session in Dubai on Tuesday and had flown back to England in order to hold talks with Preston North End boss Alex Neil, ahead of a move to Deepdale this month.
Terms of a move have now been agreed and Sinclair is set to undergo a medical ahead of the impending move on Wednesday (8th January).
Celtic fans: Was Sinclair badly treated by Lennon?
He was, it is cruel on him
He isn't good enough now
Hoops’ legend Hartson put out a tweet about Sinclair recently and he believes that the winger has to leave the club.
Some fans agree with their former player in his opinion.
Badly treated in my opinion

Has been a great servant for the club. Will be sorely missed as he could still do a great job for he club

Agreed. Shame he is leaving under a bit of a cloud. Poorly treated this season.

Just needs a change I think. Was a great player that season. Good luck

Club treated a good player terribly over the last year.

Would have been a better option playing CF than Morgan when Edouard was injured.

Sinclair’s current deal at the club runs out in the summer of 2020, after which he would have been a free agent.
This season, he has cut a frustrated figure at Parkhead. He has made only seven appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring twice. He has made only two appearances in the Premiership and only one of the games he has played has been a start.
This is in stark contrast to last season when he was a regular and in some form for the club. He made 55 appearances in all competitions for the club, racking up an impressive tally of 17 goals and six assists.
In the 2017-18 season, he was just as impressive. He made 55 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 times and also racking up 17 assists on the way for the club.
What do we think?
Sinclair has been unfairly frozen out this season, considering how good he was as recent as last season itself. He could have easily played more than he has and he would have deserved it. Hartson is right to say that Celtic was a very good place for his career to go to the next level.
