Some Celtic fans have been expressing one fear about the potential signing of Polish striker Patryk Klimala in the ongoing January transfer window.

The 21-year-old striker arrived for his medical at Parkhead on Monday, as he looks to finalise a move to the Hoops. Klimala revealed that he was ‘excited’ about moving to the Glaswegian giants from his club Jagiellonia Bialystok.

Celtic fans: Do you think Klimala will play regularly?

The news left many Hoops fans having debates about the move on Twitter about it. One of the Celtic fan pages called Celtic Gossip posted about the potential move, but some fans expressed fear about the signing of the Pole.

So far this season, French striker Odsonne Edouard has been the club’s first-choice striker. He has made 31 appearances in all competitions for the club, finding the back of the net 16 times and racking up 15 assists.

As for Klimala, the 21-year-old has played 18 times in all competitions for Bialystok. He has racked up a tally of seven goals and also has three assists to his name. He has been a regular centre-forward for the Polish side.

Last season, the striker didn’t have as good a tally for the club. He made 29 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring only four times and getting one assist.

He has a good record for the Polish Under-21s side. He has played seven times for the side, scoring twice and getting one assist.

What do we think?

No signing brings a 100% assurance of being a success. With Lewis Morgan expected to join Inter Miami, it leaves one spot in the striker pecking order open. Leigh Griffiths has played only 524 minutes of first-team football, meaning Klimala can get some regular football for the club when he joins.
